Ministerial Appointments Committee

The Ministerial Appointments Committee (commonly called the MAC) is responsible for appointing qualified ministers to ministries and monitoring progress and growth. As with all Free Methodist Church leadership, the board is composed of an equal number of ministerial and lay (non-ordained) leaders.

2020 Year-End Report

The Ministerial Appointments Committee, affectionately known as the (MAC) – is responsible for appointing all ministers to conference ministries as well as monitoring the progress and growth of the ministry. As a result, the MAC takes an active role in the appointment process working with local church delegates, board members, and pastors.

This past year surprised us all in many ways but our work has continued. Since we have last gathered, there have been several notable changes in ministerial appointments. We have welcomed Pastor Mike Chong Perkinson as the new lead pastor in Lake Elsinore from our sister conference The River Conference. Pastor Mike has been a blessing to not only the Lamb’s Fellowship but also to us as a conference family as he brings his expertise in leader recruiting and development and he will join us in working with the Kingdom Ministry Group to help with church multiplication. Pastor Clare Ferguson Bravo was promoted to the Lead position in Pasadena at Rose City Church. Pastor Clare has done a wonderful job in Pasadena and we are looking forward to seeing how Rose City Church flourishes under her leadership. We have also welcomed Pastor Kenny and Estelle Martin as Executive Pastors of Leadership Development at Chapel of Change.

There are a number of open appointments that the MAC is continuing to work on so please be in prayer with our MAC as they seek the Lord’s will in each appointment. As you have heard, we lost one of our MAC members this year, Jon Wallace. His presence and leadership have been dearly missed but we are thankful for the time we had to partner and learn from him.

We look forward to this next year and all that the Lord has in store for the FMCSC.
